Gilded Rail Entertainment posted a YouTube video recently that does a pretty good job explaining the history of the Monon.

When it comes to my model train collection, the Monon is my favorite railroad. I’ve lived near its Indianapolis line for about 20 years now, and have ridden my bike up and down the Monon Trail.
