Indiana Statehouse

What's hanging there?

Gen Con is happening this weekend in Indianapolis and I assisted with a tour given by tour staff from Indiana Landmarks called Indy’s Notable & Notorious. After parking my car and walking to the start of the tour, I snagged this photo of the Indiana Statehouse.

This photo captures the dome of the Indiana Statehouse, partially obscured by a large tree with lush green leaves in the foreground. The dome itself is an elegant structure with a patina-green color, characteristic of weathered copper. The dome is topped with a small cupola, and the U.S. flag and Indiana state flag are flying from the top. Scaffolding surrounds the base of the dome, indicating that some renovation or maintenance work is underway. To the right of the image, a red construction crane is visible, suggesting active work on or around the dome. The sky is clear and blue, providing a bright backdrop to the scene.

Notice the port-o-potty?
